Protection Prayer to Defend Against Declared and Hidden Enemies

May your will not be certain,
As certain as day and night.
May your malice not be whole,
To strike me like a scourge.

May your mouth be silenced when you seek to slander me.
May your arms be stopped when you seek to attack me.
May your legs tremble when you try to advance.
May your evil thoughts dissipate into the air.

Oh, great spirit, Wakan Tanka!
Help my spirit in the East, with good guidance.
For at the threshold of the West, I meditated and implored you for healing.

Your teachings and good thoughts.

I come from the South, and within me still dwells the humble child.
Take me to the North, grant me wisdom and luck.
